Our beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and dear friend, JUANA MARIA MONTOYA OSTOS, age 53, of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 10, 1970, in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico to Maria Rodriguez and Felipe Montoya. Juana was a homemaker and a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Jesse Martinez, and George Ostos (Veronica) all of Carlsbad, NM; her parents, Felipe, and Maria Montoya of Las Cruces; and 4 sisters, Rosa Montoya (Mike Esparza) and Edith Montoya all of Las Cruces; Olga Bustillos (Abraham) of Roswell, and Veronica Montoya of Cover City, CA; 4 grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Juana was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Ostos.

Visitation for Juana will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday, August 25, 2023, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road.  The Prayer Vigil is scheduled at 2:30 PM at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter. At her request cremation will follow and Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.

Serving as casket bearers will George Ostos, Edith Montoya, Israel Garcia, Jesse Martinez, Alejandro Gomez, Mike Esparza, and Annabel Garcia.
