JOSHUA ISAIAH PACHECO, 37, of Las Cruces, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. His loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Minerva Ostos; his stepfather, Ernie Ostos; his siblings Denissa Pacheco (Michael), Estella Gomez (Carpio), Steven Tirre (Elias), Amanda Aguilar (Isaac), and Ernest Ostos; his maternal grandparents Felix and Esperanza Montoya; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonardo Martin Pacheco; his paternal grandfather, Leonardo Pacheco; his maternal grandmother, Estella Pacheco; and several paternal aunts.
Joshua was known for his humor, his big heart, and his unwavering loyalty to the Las Vegas Raiders. He loved his nieces and nephews deeply, and they were a constant source of joy in his life. Many in the East Mesa community will remember seeing Josh walking along Highway 70, making his rounds to visit friends, neighbors, and familiar faces. Those walks were part of how he stayed connected to the people and places he cared about.
Though Joshua faced challenges in his past, he was working hard to turn his life around. His sudden passing has left his family grieving not only the loss of who he was, but also the future he was striving toward. His warmth, his laughter, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
Joshua's family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with loved ones who went before him.
Visitation will begin at 6 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at The Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Catholic Church, 3600 Parroquia Street in Tortugas with The Reverend Valentine Jankowski, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at The Tortugas Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Steven Tirre, Ernest Ostos, Felix Montoya, Jr., Chester "Dozer" Hamilton, Elias Salas and Simon Sanchez. Honorary bearers will be Robert Montoya and Levi Benagas.
