JOSEPH "JOE" M. STIMPSON-(1955-2025)
A proud family man, Joe gave effortlessly and freely to his daughters and grandchildren. He supported and celebrated his loved ones, not because it was expected but because he loved them unconditionally. He also believed in being of service and helping others, without any thought of getting anything in return.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Maurice Stimpson and Evelyn Rose. He always had an ability with machinery, which he took into his service as an Armor Commander (non-commissioned officer) in the U.S. Army working on tanks. He was stationed in Germany, as well as during his time in the Army, he served as a Military Police Officer on the 38th Parallel in Korea. His final assignment was as a Civilian Armor Instructor at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Even though he left the U.S. Army to eventually transition into what is now the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, he didn't really leave the Army. He worked to also be enlisted in the reserves, whereupon he had a rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Between his work both in the U.S. Army and Customs, he served with the government for 43 years.
He lived 34 years in the city of Deming, New Mexico. His love lives with his wife, four daughters, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
