It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, JOSE "PEPE" MARQUEZ, age 70 of Lordsburg, New Mexico on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Jose was born April 20, 1956, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Gregorio and Marta Marquez Flores.

Pepe was all about family and hard work. His work ethic was unmatched and his love for life was unwavering. Pepe had a gift for making friends, his warm smile, humble spirit and great sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Pepe was an avid "Redskins (Commanders)" and Yankees fan. He enjoyed listening to many genres of music.

Pepe was an exceptional grandfather "Tata", to his five grandchildren who were his pride and joys: Ethan Estrada, Kaylee, Kayden and Kayson Booth and Jacob Marquez. Those left to mourn along with his grandchildren are his children Yasmine (Gabriel) Estrada, Sabrina (Alan) Booth, Joseph Marquez and Suehaye (Bill) Fraley; his sisters, Carmela, Marta and Ivonne; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 AM to 3 PM on Friday October 2, 2026, at James Baxter Civic Center in Lordsburg, NM.
