Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, JORDAN ANGELO FERNANDEZ, age 23, lifelong resident of Las Cruces, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Born November 15, 2001, Jordan was a soul whose warmth, laughter, and boundless love touched everyone he met.

He had a heart of gold and a giving spirit that made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Empathetic and endlessly kind, he brought light into every room with his humor, his passion for music and art, and his deep appreciation for life's simple joys.

Family was the cornerstone of his world. He cherished family trips, holiday gatherings, and every moment spent with his siblings, Santino Rei Mendoza and Elyssa Monique Trejo, and his cherished nephew, Dax Ryan Duran. His love extended to a wide circle of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who became family through the years.

An adventurer at heart, he found peace in nature, especially on hikes, and joy in cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams. He was a proud collector of sports cards and coins — each piece a reflection of his curiosity and love for stories.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Sandra Sanchez; father, David Angelo Fernandez; his siblings and nephew; and his uncle, Jesus Salinas Jr., and grandmother, Maria Elena Salinas; aunts, Laura Fernandez and Patricia Fernandez Duran.  He now joins his grandparents, Cecilia and Angel Fernandez, and Jesus B. Salinas, in eternal rest.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 12, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces, NM.

A celebration of his life will follow the memorial service at 2144 N. Main Street, Las Cruces, NM 88001. Close family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life that gave so much love and laughter to others.

Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit — strong, joyful, and full of love — will live on in every heart he touched.
