JOHN PAUL PORRAS, aka "John", "JP", or "Mijo", age 27, passed away October 1, 2022, in the City of Great Falls, Montana, while stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. John was born July 31, 1995 in Las Cruces, NM. He graduated from Onate High School, during his youth he was involved in the Air Force ROTC dreaming of a military career, he enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 19.
He was an Elite Raven #2641; John will forever be #2641 whom had the privilege to serve two Presidents of the United States of America. The characteristics that he naturally displayed to everyone in a personal and professional way were simply that he was a servant leader, he was trustworthy with high integrity and funny, loved food, hiking, nature, he especially loved spending time with family and friends on his time off.
John had many dreams and aspirations, he was strong yet gentle, kind, and friendly. Even though the Air Force was a big part of his identity his Family always came first. .. He was a mentor to many, and many would look up to him, he was a blessing to the family and we were all fascinated to learn about his experiences and opportunities to travel the world.
He Spoke 3 languages and was humbled by everything he had learned and became wiser and stronger yet would also offer anything to a person in need without a doubt and a smile. We envisioned JP accomplishing anything he wanted... One of his goals was Space X, get married and have a family of his own and a Tesla Truck.
Let's take a moment to celebrate his life and his accomplishments and the time he spent with each and every one of us. Let's honor him for all the good he gave us. Please reach out to your neighbor and share a story an experience you might have had about Him!! Yes, please share your stories…
