It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of 80-year-old John Hu on March 16, 2024. He was born on March 25, 1943 in Chongqing, China to Mary and Joseph Hu. John immigrated to Las Cruces, NM from Taipei, Taiwan in 1968. From there, he received his technical education in TV repair. He built his career and business on fixing TVs and proudly owned and operated Rainbow TV Service in Las Cruces for multiple decades.

He dedicated his life to his family, especially his children. Those left to mourn him include his beloved wife Lee Hu, two daughters Jennifer Hu and Connie Hu (husband Elijah) and sister Terry Hui (husband Ben).

He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Joseph Hu, brother Anthony Hu and sister Molly Chen.

A prayer vigil will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S Espina Street. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 01:30 P.M. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 02:00 P.M. Interment and Rite of Committal will conclude at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S Compress Road.
