Joe H Gonzales, 96 of Lordsburg, New Mexico went peacefully to his Heavenly Home Saturday, July 27 in El Paso, Texas

Joe was born in San Ildefonso, New Mexico to Pedro and Josephina Gonzales. Joe served his country during WWII and Korean War in both the US Air Force and the US Army. Joe spent time working as a dental technician in Santa Fe until he made his career as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed walking and drinking coffee while visiting his friends and neighbors. Joe enjoyed talking about his journeys in life and spending time with his children and grandchildren as often as he could. Joe had many friends and family in his home town and in Tucson where he lived for many years before moving back to New Mexico.

Joe is survived by his children: Pete Gonzales of Tucson, AZ, Donna Jo G Renteria (Manuel E) of Las Cruces, NM, Deborah Clark (Larry) of Lordsburg, NM.

7 Grandchildren: Josef Gonzales (Maya), Manuel G. Renteria (Ysella), Ruben Renteria (Lupita), Jennifer Eatmon (Delonn), Justin Yarbrough, Two Angel Babies. Joe had many nieces, nephews, cousins and step children and grandchildren.

18 great grandchildren and one Angel Baby.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Josephina, brothers Fermin and Alex, sisters Dolores and Josie. His first wife Margaret Johnston, second wife Glenda Heimerich. Two stepsons Dan and Michael Heimerich.

Our family would like to thank Casa Serena Home Assisted Living and Tender Care, Home Health and Hospice in El Paso TX, for the wonderful care they provided to our dad.

A Memorial Service for Joe will be at 10am, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 East Boutz Road.
