It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jesus Manuel Vazquez 40, of Las Cruces, on August 17, 2023.  Jesse (Flaco) as he was fondly known was born on September 28, 1982 in El Paso, TX to Enrique and Patricia (Ortegon) Vazquez. He was a good athlete while in school. He was also a handyman and mechanic by trade. He had a great sense of humor and would have anybody around him laughing in minutes. Especially his Mom.

He is survived by his parents Enrique and Patricia Vazquez, brothers Enrique Vazquez Jr., and Ricardo Vazquez (Maggie), maternal grandmother Josephina Ortegon. His sons Jesus Manuel Vazquez Jr. (Esperanza) and Jayden, daughters Mytzel Vazquez and Neveah Perez. Grandchildren Ezekiel Vazquez, Zaylonii Vazquez, Dalary Vazquez, special niece Amanda D. Vazquez, grand nephew Mateo Vazquez, nephews Kiki Vazquez III, Mason Vazquez, Casper Vazquez, and Emilio Vazquez. He was preceded in death by his son Julian Duran.

A prayer vigil will be held Monday September 11, 2023 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 06:00 P.M. and the Recitation of the Rosary will be at 07:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday September 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 3600 Paroquia Street. Interment and Rite of Committal will conclude at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens 5140 W. Picacho Avenue.

Serving as casket bearers are Enrique Vazquez Jr., Ricardo Vazquez, Jesus Vazquez, Kiki Vazquez, Lionel Johnson, Julian Medina, Daniel Collins, Robert Segovia, Luis Lizalde, Joseph Sandoval, Orly Orona and Mytzel Vazquez. Honorary bearer will be his little sister Diana Soto.
