With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, JESUS SERNA, was born April 14, 1935, in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico.  He passed away at Memorial Medical Center on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the age of 90.

Jesus came to El Paso, TX in his early 20's where he worked at Prices Dairy for 15 years.  He met the love of his life and moved to Mesquite, NM in 1976 and worked at Bright Star Dairy as a hay feeder until he retired at the age of 70.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia; two daughters, Maribel Aguilar (Richard) and Claudia Sanchez (Raul); two brothers, Joel (Hilaria) and Roberto (Rebecca); two sisters, Guadalupe, and Elidia; three grandchildren, Isabella (Ray), Richard Ray and Aaron; one great-grandson, Raeden Ray and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father Pedro and mother Anselma.

Visitation for Mr. Serna will begin at 6 PM Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 125 W. Mesquite Street in Mesquite. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at 2 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Road, El Paso, TX 79907 where he will be laid to rest.

Serving as casket bearers will be Raul Sanchez, Richard Aguilar, Richard Ray Aguilar, Ray Hernandez, Aaron Villegas, and Roberto Serna.
