JESUS MANUEL VARGAS, born in El Paso, Texas, on February 19, 1985, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was 40 years old.

A cherished son, devoted brother, proud uncle, and loyal friend, Jesus brought warmth, laughter, and light to all who knew him. With an infectious sense of humor and an undeniable charm, he made every room brighter simply by being in it.

He spent his professional life serving in the hospitality industry with his warm demeanor and vibrant personality making every guest feel welcome. But it was outside of work where Jesus truly came alive. He found joy in the rhythm of music, the laughter of family gatherings, and precious moments spent with his two beloved nephews.

Jesus is survived by his mother, Maria Luisa Vargas; his brother, Ricardo Aguilar, and sister-in-law, Destiny Soto-Aguilar of Albuquerque; and his two sisters, Alejandra Vargas and Angelica Vargas, both of Las Cruces; and his beloved nephews, Elyjah-Zavier Arzola and Malakhi Carter Aguilar. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Catalina and Jose Nicholas Perez; uncle, Pedro Perez; cousin, Olga Leticia Garcia and great-cousin, Kameron Joseph Flores.

His love for his family was deep and unwavering constant source of pride and purpose in his life.

Though he has departed from this world, the echoes of his laughter, the kindness he showed, and the memories shared with him will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and may his spirit continue to guide and comfort all those who carry him with them.

Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, August 22, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.
