It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jesus Gomez, age 50, who passed away on August 13, 2024 at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora while surrounded and comforted by his family.

Jesus was born March 23, 1974 in Juarez Mexico, to Gloria Salazar.  Jesus was a furniture salesman at various furniture stores throughout his working life.  He loved his job and being able to help and meet new people. He was a lifelong "hardcore" Dallas Cowboys fan who never missed watching their games; he enjoyed collecting and customizing Hot Wheels and was an amazing cook, cooking for his girls, family and friends every Tuesday.  Jesus loved spending time with his family and friends and loved the life he was building with his love, Elena Nevarez.

Those left to mourn his passing include his partner Elena Nevarez (Abel L. Brianna S.)  Three daughters; Rockelle, Angelea and Jazmyn Gomez.  His father who raised him, Benjamin Salazar, two brothers; Juan Gomez (Diana) and Luis "Oreo" Gomez (Lauren) and three sisters; Rosa Gomez, Violet Cornett (AJ) and Crystal Jimenez (Abraham). Other survivors include his grandma Socorro Gomez, uncle Izzy Gomez (Vicky) and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Gloria Salazar and grandfather Lazaro Gomez.

Service for Jesus will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 East Boutz Road. Pastor Fred Espinosa of Las Cruces First Assembly of God will lead the Celebration of Life. Jesus will then be inurned to rest privately alongside his mother Gloria at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Rd. Las Cruces.
