On Monday, November 6, 2023, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend, JESUS BUSTILLOS GARIBAY, entered eternal rest at La Posada-Mesilla Valley Hospice surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 92. He was born January 25, 1931, in Smeltertown, or La Esmelda, Texas, near the Old Asarco location, to Luisa Bustillos and Epifanio Garibay. Jesus retired from the City of Las Cruces, Gas Department.

In January 1959, Jesus married the love of his life, Socorro Moran and together they had 3 children: 2 sons, Jesus M. Garibay (Rebecca) and Gustavo Garibay (Myrna) and a daughter, Sandra Harrod (L.D.) all of Las Cruces.  Other survivors include 2 brothers, Juan Garibay (Manuela) and Guadalupe Garibay (Lela), and sister, Ernestina Ramirez (Rigoberto) all of Texas and 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jesus was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Manuel, and Ramon; 2 sisters, Refugia, and Socorro.

At his request cremation will take place and no services are scheduled at this time.
