JACOB NATHANIEL GARCIA, 28, of Las Cruces, NM, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born August 25, 1996, in Las Cruces; was the beloved child of Veronica Jeanette Castro and Richard Garcia Jr. and grew up in Las Cruces. He graduated from Mayfield High School in 2014 and went on to enlist in the United States Army where he was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant.

Jacob will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, creativity, loyalty, passion for helping others. He touched the lives of many through his military career.

He is survived by his mother, Veronica Castro; father, Richard "Rick" Garcia Jr., and wife, Veronica; Richard "Ricky" Garcia III; Ophelia Gonzales, Adrian Castro, Joshua Castro, Jiddu Castro, Claudia Talamantes, Mariah Talamantes, Arnie Martinez, who will continue to honor his memory by living their lives with the same compassion and grace he showed others.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Calvary Christian Center, 4211 Elks Drive, Las Cruces, NM 88007.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the GoFundMe "Help Us Remember Jacob Garcia."
