ISMAEL CAMPOS URIBE, 85, of Las Cruces, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born October 7, 1940, in Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, to Maria de la Luz Campos and Doroteo Uribe, Ismael lived a life grounded in faith, humility, and service. He worked for many years in construction, providing for his family with dedication and quiet strength. His greatest calling, however, was his ministry. As an assistant pastor at the Apostolic Tabernacle, he shared the Gospel with compassion, offering guidance, prayer, and encouragement to all who sought it.
Ismael is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Rebeca Díaz Uribe, and their nine beloved children: a son, Israel Uribe (Mayra), eight daughters, Ada Luz Uribe, Miriam U. Rodriguez (Salvador), Rebecca Uribe‑Dubbs (James), Damaris Martinez (Michael), Haggith Uribe, Josaba Uribe, Shalem Uribe (Nirmal Rai) and Libna Uribe Michael (Jaime Ivan).
He is also survived by three sisters, Concepción Lara, Elvira Uribe, and Elizabeth Gonzalez, and three brothers, Salvador, Samuel, and Saul Uribe. His legacy continues through 12 grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will remember his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
Visitation for Mr. Uribe will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Jimmie Arellano. Concluding Service and Interment will take place at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road.
Serving as casket bearers will be Israel, Diego, Azarias, Salvador, Jean‑Luc, Caleb, Ivan, Johannes, and Nirmal.
Ismael's life was a testament to devotion, to God, to his family, and to the community he served with a gentle heart. His presence will be deeply missed, but his faith and love will continue to shine through all who knew him.
