Ismael Alejandro Rey was welcomed home to our Heavenly Father on August 31, 2023.

Know to his loved ones as "Guero", he was born in Las Cruces, NM on January 9, 2001, to his loving parents Ismael and Claudia (Quiroz) Rey.

Guero was celebrated for his kind nature, his contagious energy, and his infectious sense of humor. His two greatest loves were his Dodge Ram & Side-By-Side, that's where you could find him exploring the streets of Las Cruces and its neighboring mountains. Knowing Guero means you knew his eclectic cowboy boots, flat billed hats, his endless taste in music, impeccable dance moves and urning for rescuing dogs in need.

Guero attended Mayfield high school where he started working at Caliches. Upon graduating he stayed working at Caliches, being promoted to Shift Lead, while he worked at obtaining his CDL for Mayo's Trucking, following in his father's footsteps.

Guero survived by his parents, Ismael and Claudia; his sisters, Mireya (Joel) and Claudia; his nieces and nephew, Gamble, Mila and Penelope; Grandparents, Jesus Manuel (Estella) Quiroz, Agustin (Rafaella) Rey; Uncles: Agustin (Magdalena) Rey, Erick (Adrianna) Rey, Arturo (Suzanna) Rey; Aunts: Noelia Quiroz. Cousins: Agustin (Samantha), Mark (Jackie), Markus, Thiago, Diego, Gaell, Lucas, Erick, Adrian, Mia, Mariah, Kimberly, Brianna, and countless more loved ones.

Guero thrived by the special people in his life: Angel Aguilar, Donte Carrasco, Victor Munoz, Brianna Corrales and many more to follow.

Guero was welcomed to Heaven by our loved ones who have since passed on.

It is without question that Guero touched many people in his short time here on earth. His adventurous spirit and kind soul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. We will forever be reminded of Guero in our hearts, our memories, and during our rides through the mountains of Las Cruces.
