It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and dear friend, ISMAEL MISQUEZ, age 67, lifelong resident of Las Cruces on Monday, November 4, 2024. He was born December 10, 1956, to Esperanza Bustamantes and Ismael Misquez. Ismael was employed in construction as a foreman.

He loved watching sci-fi movies, spending time with family and friends, working with his hands, always with a warm welcoming smile, always willing to share his wisdom with others.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife Jo-Ann Miranda Misquez; 4 sons, David Misquez (Anjolic), Isaac Misquez (Sabrina), Jermiah Misquez, (Henrica) and Christopher Misquez (Kelsey); brother, Tomas Misquez (Annette); and a sister, Caroline Solis (Gerardo) all from Las Cruces; his former wife and mother of his sons, Bertha Duncil. Other survivors include 27 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ismael was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Dorothy Misquez.

A Memorial Mass in honor of both Ismael and his loving wife, Jo-Ann, will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Cathedral of Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina Street. Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date
