Our dearest beloved sister IRENE LOPEZ, 75, born July 12,1948 of Salem New Mexico, entered eternal life on Sunday, August 6, 2023.  Irene was a resident of Casa de Oro Nursing Home in Las Cruces, NM. Her parents were Reynaldo and Lillian Lopez of Salem, NM, both deceased.

Irene is survived by her brother, Edward R. Lopez, and wife Ida of Las Cruces; sister, Olivia Lopez Sheets, and husband Doug of Albuquerque; and her sister-in-law, Susan Lopez of Las Cruces. Irene was preceded in death by a brother Reynaldo Lopez Jr.

Irene had no children, but has numerous nieces and nephews that she just adored, Lisa M. Lockwood, Edward Rey Jr. Leticia Monique, Israel Rey, Ivan, Joel, and Stephen as well as great nieces and nephews Antonio, Raynaldo, Isabel, Jazlyn, Nichole, and Jeremy, that will miss her deeply.

Visitation for Ms. Lopez will begin at 9:30 AM Friday, September 1, 2023, at Our Lady of All Nations Catholic Church, 1993 Rincon Road in Rincon where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 10 AM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter with the Reverend Ivan Torres Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem where she will be laid to rest.

Serving as casket bearers will include Edward Jr, Antonio, Rey, Ivan, and Anthony Castillo, and Dennis Torres. Honorary bearers will be Israel, Ivan, Joel, and Stephen.
