Irene Arguello, 83 of Brazito, New Mexico passed away August 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Irene was born September 22,1939 to Estanislao Noris and Aurora Narro in San Francisco del Oro, Chihuahua, Mexico. Irene moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico where she met her husband of 51 years—Victor Arguello. Irene was well known for her beauty, sense of fashion and cooking—especially her chile rellenos. Mom, as she was fondly known by her family, welcomed you with a beautiful smile that lit up the entire room. She enjoyed spending countless hours tending to her green grass and flowers and watching her novellas. But her true passion was her family—dedicating her entire life to love and care for them.

Irene is survived by her husband Victor V. Arguello; daughter Becky Marquez (Alberto); son, Victor Arguello (Shelly); sister Nena Noris; stepdaughters: Mary Esther (Larry) and Lisa Quinones (Jim); grandchildren: Steven, Robert, Richard, AJ (Dulce), Brandon, Stephanie, Jeremy, Analiese, Alyssa, and Victor; great-grandchildren: Richard, Jizelle, Eli, Leilani, Anastasia, and Gemma.

Welcoming her in heaven, is her parents, in-laws, and beloved daughter Patricia (Paty) Valenzuela.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10:30am on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 3600 Parroquia St.
