Obituary

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of INOCENCIO G. GONZALES, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He left his residence in San Miguel, NM peacefully surrounded by family to be with our Lord on February 29, 2024. "Mandola," as he was known to family and friends was born in San Miguel, in 1947 to Ramona and Inocencio Gonzales. He married Andrea on May 04, 1973, and they had 3 children: Nancy, Enrique, and Inocencio Jr. and they raised Terry.

Inocencio joined the Army and served 26 years as a Staff Seargent.  He did a tour in Persian Gulf/ Desert Storm.  He not only served in the military, but he also served God.  He was an active member of the Cedar Hills Church of the Cross where he traveled to different country on missionary trips.  He was most happy when helping others whether friends or family members.

Our beloved father will be remembered for his devotion to family especially his children whom he passed on the importance and value of faith in God, education, family, and hard work. Mandola was an excellent cook; coach and his children are blessed to carry on the many traditions centered around those activities. Friends will warmly remember him as Mandola, Coach and Brother.

The family gives thanks to the many neighbors and friends that looked after him. This includes his wife, Andrea whom he loved; as well as the congregation members and many others who regularly visited to check-in on him. We were blessed to celebrate his 76th birthday in 2023 with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Andrea Espino Gonzales: children Nancy (and Ben) Del Rio, Enrique (and Rosa) Gonzales, and Jr. (and Monique) Gonzales, and Terry Jauregui; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Inocencio was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and a sister.

Many thanks to family, and friends for their comforting words and blessings through this difficult time.
