HILDA VALLES OLAYO, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was married to Juan Ramon Olayo and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A loving, caring, kind, and compassionate woman, she dedicated her life as a stay-at-home mom and caregiver, always putting her family first. She was a true fighter, surviving breast cancer and facing every obstacle with strength and determination. Her resilience, along with her laughter and light, touched everyone who knew her and will never be forgotten. She also had a joyful spirit and a great sense of humor—she loved spending time at the casinos, especially at the slot machines, where she was sure they were "about to hit" every single time, and cheering on her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, celebrating every win (and standing by them through every loss).

She is survived by her husband, Juan Ramon Olayo; her children, Patricia Tarango, (Joe) from Las Cruces, Juan Ramon Olayo Jr., (Melissa), and Bobby Olayo, (Fransis), all from Phoenix, AZ., and Crystal Olayo (Hector) also of Las Cruces; two sisters, Irma Lucero (Jaime) and Irene Valles; 10 grandchildren, Eric and Vanessa Tarango, Robert A., Jazmine, Robert N., Tres, Lexi, Joscelyn, Meilani and Andrew Olayo; 4 great-grandchildren, Aaric, Josiah and Natalia Tarango and Kodi Olayo, all of whom she loved deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe Reyes and Jose Valles; her grandson, Robert Andrew Olayo, who await her at Heaven's gates, as well as other family members.

Visitation will begin at 2 PM Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 3 PM. Cremation will follow and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.  Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that her love, strength, and spirit will live on through all who knew and loved her.
