Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, GUADALUPE "LUPE" ESQUIVEL TELLEZ, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the age of 80. "Lupe," as she was fondly known to family and friends was born January 2, 1944, in Fabens, TX., to Luz Acosta and Raul Esquivel. Lupe was a loving, caring, homemaker, and a giving person, that gave, expecting nothing in return. Her pride and joy were her 2 grandsons. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband of 56 years, Ruben Tellez, Jr. of Anthony; their only daughter, Debra Tellez-Velarde (Stephen) of Amarillo, TX; 2 grandsons, Aaron Velarde (Erin) of Roanoke, VI., and Michael Velarde also of Amarillo, TX., 2 brothers, Raul Esquivel Jr., (Loretta) of Las Cruces and Gustavo Esquivel (Ramona) of Anthony, TX., a sister, Concha Eads of El Paso, TX. Lupe was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Ramona Ybarra, and Yolanda Fann; brother, Rogelio Esquivel as well as other family members.

At her request cremation has taken place and visitation will be at 9:30 AM with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 AM Friday, January 10, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Street in Anthony. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter. Inurnment of cremains will follow at the Anthony Community Cemetery, 750 Acosta Road.
