Gregorio Gomez, a devoted husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born on May 7, 1952, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Emeteria and Apolinar Gomez-Villegas.

Gregorio spent his life working the land as a laborer on a pecan farm, where his strength, humility, and dedication were evident in every season. He was a man of quiet dignity, whose love for his family and deep faith guided his every step.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria del Rosario Gomez; his daughters, Abril Gonzalez and Debora Lujan; his brothers, Carlos Gomez, and Jorge Gomez; and his sister, Maria Antonieta. Gregorio was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Emily Marie Gomez, his brothers Hector Gomez and Victor Gomez, and his sister Lydia Gomez.

Family and friends are invited to honor Gregorio's life at Baca's Funeral Chapel, located at 300 E. Boutz Road in Las Cruces. Visitations will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 5:00 P.M., followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 P.M. The Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., also at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Interment and committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue.

Gregorio will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his gentle spirit, and the love he poured into his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him and within his grandchildren hearts.
