Our Beloved Gloria Molina, age 78 of Mesilla, NM passed away January 6, 2025, at UMC in El Paso, TX.

Gloria was born May 23, 1946 to Vicente M. Cadena and Francisca Ramos Cadena. She was the perfect mother, grandmother, partner, sister, and friend that was adored by many. She was always filled with love and had a wonderful way of doing things. The time spent with her was a special gift and will always be remembered and cherished. Gloria's love was unconditional, and her wisdom was timeless. Her kitchen was the heart of our family gatherings, always filled with the smell of freshly baked cookies and goods. Not only did she enjoy family gatherings and baking, but she also enjoyed shopping. She also loved gardening. Roses were her favorite. She sure did have a green thumb. Every time we had a plant that was dying on us, we would always call her, and she always knew just what to do. She also loved the weekends. When Friday came around, she was always excited because she knew that Albert (partner) was going to take her out for dinner. Even though she was the best cook ever she still enjoyed going out to dinner. On Saturdays she loved going out shopping and on Sundays her and Albert would go on their Sunday cruises, which she really enjoyed. She really enjoyed the time she spent with her loved ones. Gloria was a blossom of wisdom, love, and light. Her hands were so soft and gentle and she had a heart of gold. Even though we were not ready to lose her we know that God will take good care of her. He saw what had happened and he wrapped his arms around her and made her the most beautiful angel you can ever imagine. That day a golden heart stopped beating, but we know that God always takes the best. She can now be at peace and rejoice with her loved ones. We will gather with our heavy hearts to honor such a beautiful life of a beautiful woman. Gloria is a beacon, a guided star whose love will always remain. May she rest now in peace and grace. Her pure love so true will forever bloom in all we do.

Gloria is survived by her partner Albert Hernandez; sisters Josie C. Guzman, Terry C. Evaro; brother Robert Cadena; daughters Ednamarie Langevin, Linda Lawson; grandchildren Sarah N. Montes, Alyssa M. Simmons, Bryan C. Lawson; great grandchildren Destiny F. Clark, Larissa R. Clark, Joseph F. Montes, Orlando J. Montes, and Lawson J. Simmons.

Gloria was preceded in death by Miguel R. Cadena, Geneva Lucero, Isabel Sosa, Vicente R. Cadena, Jr., Yolanda C. Esquivel, Mary Lou C. Ramirez, Manuel R. Cadena, and Rudy R. Cadena.

A Prayer Vigil will be at 11am on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Basilica of San Albino, 2280 Calle Principal, Mesilla, NM. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30am. Inurnment will be at San Albino Columbarium.
