FREDRICK EUGENE MARTINEZ, a lifelong resident of Brazito, entered eternal life on Monday, April 6, 2026, at his home, surrounded by all his loving family. He was born November 30, 1955, to Patricia Diaz and Simon Martinez, Jr.
Fredrick dedicated his life to caring for others, working in Health Care as a Registered Nurse until his retirement. His compassion, steady presence, and commitment to service touched countless lives throughout his career. To his family and friends, he was a source of strength, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Martinez of Brazito; his devoted companion and best friend, Matthew Lopez of Pecos, NM; his two loving sisters, Elizabeth M. Terrazas (Lalo) of Las Cruces and Patricia Porras of Brazito; and his brothers, Lawrence Martinez and Richard Martinez, both of Brazito. He is also survived by Anna Garcia, whom Fred cherished and thought of as a sister. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Fredrick was preceded in death by his loving father, Simon Martinez, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Inez and Simon Martinez, Sr.; and other beloved family members who welcomed him home with open arms.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Liturgy of the Word to follow immediately thereafter. Inurnment of cremains will be held at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Road.
Fredrick's gentle heart, his dedication to family, and his lifelong commitment to caring for others will remain a lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
