FRANCISCO "FRANK" XAVIER ORTEGA, age 53, of Las Cruces passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his home. "Frank," as he was known to family and friends was born September 25, 1970, in Chowchilla, CA., to Maria Luisa Torres and Jesus Z. Ortega. Frank was a contract carpenter and worked at NASA.

Survivors include his loving children; daughter, Marie Ortega; son, Javier Ortega; companion Michelle Silva; his father, Jesus Ortega all from Las Cruces; three brothers, Adrian Ortega (Lorena) of Arizona, Miguel Ortega, and Daniel Ortega (Gloria); and a sister, Patricia Villegas all also from Las Cruces. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maria Luisa Ortega on April 16, 2024.

Visitation for Frank will begin at 6 PM Monday, June 10, 2024, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. At his request cremation will take place and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.
