November 28th, 2025 surrounded by her family was the day that our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted servant of the Lord, such a gentle soul passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord Jesus. Born on July 4, 1942, to Epitacio and Isabel Garcia, Florinda lived a life full of love, faith, and generosity.

She was the proud mother of four children: Sandra Castillo, and husband Mark of Santa Clara, NM, Sarah Sublasky of Las Cruces, NM, Joe Sublasky and wife Michelle of El Paso, TX, Terrie Gallegos and husband Steven of Santa Clara, NM. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Florinda had a passion for cooking, and her kitchen was always a place of warmth and comfort for family and friends. Her meals brought people together and created lasting memories. Above all, Florinda dedicated her life to the Lord, living each day with unwavering faith and grace.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jesus Jose Sublasky and her parents Epitacio and Isabel Garcia, and 5 siblings Anita Murillo, Amalia Silva, Manuel Garcia, Consuelo Martinez, and Saul Garcia.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 5-6pm at Cedar Hills Church of the Cross for family only. The evening service will commence at 7pm with Pastor Mark Castillo and Associate Pastor Tommy Perez Jr. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 11th at 10am with Pastor Caleb Perez officiating. Interment will take place at Masonic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
