With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Felix "Tochy" Ruiz, on March 6, 2026, at University Medical Center of El Paso. Tochy, as he was fondly known by friends and family, was born in El Porvenir, Chihuahua, MX. He was a dedicated agriculturist whose life was deeply rooted in the land and community he loved. Through years of hard work and stewardship, he developed not only a livelihood but a legacy of commitment, humility, and respect for the land.

Known and loved by many, Tochy was widely recognized for his generosity and warm spirit. He never met a stranger; he treated everyone with kindness, as if they were lifelong friends. His home was always open, his table always ready, and his kindness extended far beyond his own family. For him, "Mi casa es su casa" was not just a phrase, but a way of life. Tochy loved bringing family and friends together to spend time with one another; it filled him with joy to see everyone united. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

Tochy leaves behind his loving wife, Adela of 58 years, as well as seven daughters: Rosa Ruiz (Fernando), Ramona Perez (Alfredo), Veronica Beltran (Carlos), Lydia Ruiz (Socorro), Adelina Holguin (Oscar), Delfina Chavez (Manuel), Adriana Mendoza (Wences), and one son: Jorge Ruiz (Angelica), his "mischief partner" - grandson Javier Ruiz (Olivia) as well as twenty-one grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Other survivors include four brothers: Ramon, Francisco "Pancho", Refugio "Cuco", and Librado "Tunio" Ruiz. He is preceded in death by three sisters: Rosa Emma, Manuela, and Paula Ruiz.

Originally from Mexico, the place he called home, he spent his final months in New Mexico. His final wish was to return to his homeland. He will return one last time to his home in El Faro and will then be taken to Satevó, where he will rest eternally.
