It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Esther H. Ramirez on January 12, 2025. Born on December 8, 1949, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, she was the beloved daughter of Nazario and Carlota Hernandez.Esther was a woman of deep faith and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Pedro, Ruben, Elias, Urban, Nazario Jr., Hector, and her sister Sara.She leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Fidel Ramirez Jr., and her daughters, Sally Ramirez, Nancy Pereyra, and Sylvia Gutierrez. Esther is also survived by her former spouse, Fidel Ramirez Sr., as well as six cherished grandchildren: Chantell, Jocelyn, Keren, Adriana, Atiana, and Karyme, along with two great-grandchildren, Zakariah and Zekiel. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Adan Hernandez and Moises Hernandez, and her sister, Elva Rodriguez.A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, located at 300 E Boutz Road. Visitation will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by the service at 7:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Louie Rey. The interment and Rite of Committal will take place in Lovington, NM.On Friday, January 17, 2025, a service will be held at Iglesia Principe de Paz, 310 N Love, Lovington, NM, at 7:00 PM. Viewing will be available at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home, 1106 Main St, at 11:00 AM. Esther will be laid to rest at Lovington Cemetery, 630 Gum Street, Lovington, NM, on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
