Enrique Mata III passed away in the warm & loving embrace of his family on Dec. 30, 2023. EMIII was born on Nov. 7, 2023 in El Paso, TX to Enrique Mata Jr. & Celine Benavidez Mata, joining sisters Brenda Hailee Patton & Christine Patton. Our sweet boy was truly a gift from God. All who were lucky enough to know him in his short time were in absolute awe. His tiny face was beautiful, his per-sonality was huge.. he was pure magic.

A prayer vigil and rosary will be at 09:30 A.M at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 3729 Hueco Avenue in El Paso, TX on Thursday, January 4, 2024 and a mass in Enrique's honor will be held  at 10:00 A.M.

A graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery in Santa Theresa, NM at 4900 McNutt Road at 02:00 P.M.

In addition to his parents & sisters, EMIII is survived by paternal grandparents; Enrique Mata Sr. & Guadalupe Mata & great-grandmother, Aurora Rodarte Waller. Maternal grandparents; Phyllis & Robert Messenger, Edward & Kimberly Benavidez & great-grandmother, Celina Gallegos Brusuelas. Aunts, uncles & cousins; Michelle Mata & James Garza, their daughters Cassandra Pena & Analee Garza. Patricia Santamaria & her children Paulina, Strout & Steven Santamaria. Angelica & Andreas Lindstrom. Christina & Rocky Perez & their children Rocky, Cristiano, Olivia & Mila Perez. EMIII was loved dearly by many many cousins & family friends.

Enrique Mata III was ushered into Heaven by his great-grandparents; Don Roberto & Paulita Mata, Christopher Brusuelas, Vicente Alfonso Rodarte, Ubaldo & Josephine Benavidez. We regretfully hand our son to the loving arms of God. However, it brings us great warmth knowing he will be tenderly cared for by his great-aunt Brenda & his cousin Christy until we reunite.
