EMMA R. BRATTON, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved sister, passed away peacefully November 14, 2025, at the age of 80. Born January 28, 1945, in Rosales, Chihuahua, Mexico; Emma was the daughter of the late Pascual and Enriqueta Rodriguez. She met and married the love of her life, Mike Bratton, and together they built a beautiful family.
Emma was known for her enduring faith and her deep commitment to her family and community. Her kindness and love touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Melissa Bratton of Las Cruces, Christine Bratton (David Garcia) of Albuquerque, NM., and Michelle Ibarra of Denver, CO., her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Daniel Ibarra of Denver, CO., Jayme and her husband Jake Semeniuk of Albuquerque, NM., and Michael Ibarra (Nathalie Majalca) of Denver, CO. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Anatalia Ibarra. Other survivors include her siblings, Rodrigo Rodriguez, Alberto Rodriguez, and Olga Rodriguez, all from Las Cruces.
She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews: Annette Rodriguez, Wilma Rodriguez, Lisa Rodriguez, Cecilia Ruberto, David Rodriguez, Adrian Rodriguez, and Carlos Rodriguez and many great nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Bratton; her parents, Pascual and Enriqueta Rodriguez; her sister, Queta Rodriguez; her nephew, Daniel Rodriguez; and her great-nephew, Alex Telles.
The family extends special thanks to Pastors David and Olga Rosales and the entire congregation of Agua de Vida Church for their unwavering spiritual support, and to the dedicated Staff at Three Crosses Medical Center and Mountain View Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider donating to your favorite Missions Organization, as this cause was near and dear to Emma's heart.
Currently, the family is planning a celebration of life for early 2026. Details are forthcoming and will be shared as soon as available.
