Las Cruces

Obituary

It is with deep sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and grandson, EMILIO FRANCISCO VILLELA, of Las Cruces, who left this world far too soon on April 8, 2026, at the young age of 6.

"Gordo," as he was lovingly known to family and friends, was born on January 27, 2020, in El Paso, Texas, to Ruby Atayde and Daniel Villela. From the moment he arrived, Emilio filled every space with warmth, laughter, and a joy that was unmistakably his own. His bright eyes, playful spirit, and tender heart made him a source of light to everyone blessed to know him.

Though his time on earth was brief, Emilio lived with a fullness that touched countless lives. He loved deeply, laughed freely, and brought comfort and happiness to his family in ways words can never fully capture. His presence was a gift, and his memory will forever remain a cherished treasure in the hearts of those who loved him.

Emilio leaves behind his devoted parents, Ruby and Daniel, who adored him beyond measure; his siblings; brother, Enrique Villela and sister, Evangelina Villela, who looked up to him and loved him dearly; his paternal grandmother, Bernadina Villela and maternal grandparents Marina Montoya and Jimmy Murrillo who held him close in both life and memory. He is also survived by extended family members and friends who will forever carry his spirit with them. Gordo was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Francisco Villela.

Emilio's life, though short, was filled with love—pure, unconditional, and everlasting. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now wrapped in eternal peace, watching over them with the same gentle heart he showed every day.
