It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elva "Mamita" Ramirez. Mamita passed away on November 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Elva was born February 17, 1935 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico.
Mamita enjoyed spending most of her time caring for her beautiful plants, flowers and birds. Mamita was a very talented crocheter and loved to gift her works of art to friends and family. Mamita was very loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Those left to mourn her passing include her children Aurora Singh and Rudy Ramirez; Her grandchildren Robert Ramirez, Celeste Barela (Geremy), Charlie Kyle, Brian Ramirez, Rebecca Millare (Brandon), and Rosie Ramirez, Katherine Lee Buczeskie, Christine Marie; Her great-grandchildren Brian Ramirez Jr., Lucas Ortega, Levi Moore, Layne Kyle, Peyton and Presley Barela, Veyda Millare, Jacob and Zachary Bussey, Troy Francis, Jaxon and Haven Scarth, and Steven Lewis III; Her siblings, Enrique Nieto (Alicia), Dolores Ortiz, and Maria Elena Nieto, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mamita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francisco Ramirez, her brother Guadalupe Nieto, and her beloved son Francisco Ramirez Jr. who passed away November 22, 2024.
Visitation will begin at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Rd., Las Cruces, NM on Wednesday December 11, 2024 at 8:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m. Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Basilica of San Albino, 2280 Calle Principal, Mesilla, NM at 11:00 a.m. Interment and Rite of Committal for her beloved son Francisco Ramirez Jr. will follow at San Albino Cemetery. A Celebration of life for Mamita and Francisco will follow at the Yanez Hall by San Albino.
