ELOISA APPELZOLLER GONZALEZ BARRIENTOS, age 69, of Las Cruces, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born September 6, 1956, in San Miguel to Elma Appelzoller and Elias M. Gonzalez.

Eloisa dedicated many years of her life to working in Health Care, where her compassion, strength, and kindness touched countless lives. She was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Known for her vibrant spirit, Eloisa loved to dance, spend time out with family and friends, and embrace every moment with joy. She carried a deep passion for life, love, and laughter—gifts she shared generously with all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her five sons: Aaron Escobedo and Albert Escobedo, both of Superior, AZ; Johnny Barrientos (Brandi Telles) of Las Cruces; Eric Barrientos of Sarasota, FL; and Omar Barrientos of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by her brothers, Lorenzo Gonzalez (Kathy) of Reno, NV; Ray Gonzalez (Lisa) of Las Cruces; and Lee Gonzalez of Hobbs, NM; as well as her sister, Genoveva Gonzalez of Amarillo, TX. Other survivors include eight beloved grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for our beautiful Eloisa will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. At her request, cremation will take place, and Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date.

Eloisa's radiant smile, generous heart, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
