It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Elisa Maria Sanchez (69). She was summoned to Heaven's gate surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born on October 16, 1955 in Odessa, TX to Jose and Manuela Vigil.

Elisa is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alfredo and sons Alfred Jr. (Rachel), John Edward, and Albert (Kristin) Sanchez. Grandchildren Izahh, Javier, Derek, Avery Sanchez, Anyssa and Erik (Emily) Granillo and great-granddaughters Emmi and Eastyn Granillo. Siblings Arturo Vigil, Maria Luisa Hernandez, and Rosa Vigil. Siblings in-law Ed (Lupe) Ramirez, Manuel (Dora) Sanchez, Alex (Janet) Sanchez, Mary Oram, Lorie (Juan) Sanchez-Aguilar. Joanna Eck and Mary Frietze, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Elisa was preceded in death by her beloved parents and brother Ricardo Vigil.

Elisa retired after 32 years as an Educational Assistant at Anthony Elementary School where she made many friends and was loved by her students. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys football fan, enjoyed watching wrestling, listening to oldies, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was so proud of her family and friends. Elisa was giving and always helped others in need. Her family is grateful for the many friends and family that has provided support during this difficult time.

We love you Elisa! You will be greatly missed by your family and friends! May God give you peace and glory!
