It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Elena Saenz on May 25, 2024. She was born August 7, 1939 in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Josefa and Jesus Miranda where she met the love of her life Socorro Saenz.
Elena was a beautiful and caring woman inside and out. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cooking large meals for her family. For many years, she worked with Family and Youth Inc. babysitting many children, caring for and loving them as her own.
Those left to mourn her include four daughters Socorro Saenz Lobato (Richard), Hilda Saenz Paz (Fred), Yolanda Baca (Donald) and Laura Elena Saenz Meraz (Cesareo). She also leaves two sisters (Consuelo and Olivia) and one brother (Ricardo).
She was preceded in death by six brothers (Jesus, Ramiro, Rodrigo, Mariano, Guillermo and Socorro) and one sister (Delia), her parents and husband Socorro Saenz.
A prayer vigil will be held on Friday June 14, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3600 Paroquia Street. Recitation of the Holy Rosary is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and the Mass will be Celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment and Rite of Committal will conclude at the Tortugas Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers are grandsons David Paz, Adam Sainz, Jacob Lobato, Aaron Meraz, Andres Meraz, Randy Baca and Sean De La Cruz.
