It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of 80-year-old Edward ("Bud") Lee Hebrlee II on April 7, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1943, in Garden City, Kansas to Ruth and Edward ("Lee") Hebrlee.
We celebrate the life of Bud, who was raised in Kansas and made his home in New Mexico, Maine, and Florida throughout his life's journey. Wherever he resided, Bud was renowned within the community for his infectious smile, warm heart, charisma, and outgoing nature. He had a knack for making friends wherever he went.
Bud was a passionate hot air balloon pilot for over 40 years. His love for the skies was matched only by his enthusiasm for restoring classic cars, such as his cherished 1936 Hudson and 1957 Chevy. He found joy in camping and the adventures of the great outdoors.
Those left to mourn him include his beloved wife, Judith Cyr Hebrlee; his children, Lisa Hebrlee Thayne, Rachel Shields; Craig Hebrlee, Trent Hebrlee, and Chris DiMora; his grandchildren, Kevin Licano, Kaleb Licano, Thomas Licano, Dominick Thayne, and Amelia Shields.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Edward ("Lee"), and sister Marianne Remschner.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 02:00 P.M. at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Visiting starts at 1:00 P.M.
