EDNA SINGH BUSTAMANTES, life-long resident of Mesilla, New Mexico entered eternal life into God's Kingdom surrounded by her loving family on December 21, 2023. She was born May 14, 1941, to Lakha and Paula Garcia Singh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcario "Kayo" Bustamantes; her parents; brothers, Margarito, and Joe; sisters, Antonia "Toni," Isidra, Vicenta "Vince;" and granddaughter, Monique Vazquez Bustamantes.

She will be sorely missed by those that survive her, including daughters, Rebecca (Becky) Chavez and husband, Jesse; Julie Bustamantes Segobia and husband George; son, Daniel Bustamantes, and wife Maxine, as well as Junior and Tony. Her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors are also among those who will lovingly remember her. Other survivors include brother, Lucas (Chito) Singh; sisters, Rita, Tomasa (Tommy), Theresa (Terry), Catalina (Katie), and nephew, Dhano Singh.

The Prayer Vigil will begin at 11 AM. Monday, January 15, 2024, at The Basilica of San Albino Catholic Church in Mesilla with the Mass to be celebrated immediately thereafter with the Reverend Christopher Williams, Celebrant. Inurnment of cremains will follow at the San Albino Cemetery.

Serving as Honorary Bearers are Brian Ramirez Sr., Desiree Bustamantes, Jessica Chavez, Cesar Chavez, Brian Ramirez Jr., Jeremy Vazquez, DJ (Daniel James) Bustamantes, Leila Hargis, and Marcia Maldonado.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mesilla Valley Hospice for their compassion, support, and care. They were truly invaluable in helping us navigate this difficult time.
