Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and aunt, DONNA LEE REL SOTO, lifelong resident of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 57. She was born October 1, 1967, to Marylou Lujan and Bilialdo Rel. Donna was employed at Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority (MVRDA) as a 911 dispatcher, for 20 years and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Daniel A. Soto; her mother, Marylou Rel; son Josiah Daniel Soto; and daughter, Jovanni Rel (Chris Ortiz); and the pride and joy of her life, grandson, Billy all from Las Cruces; a sister, Renette Carrillo (Johnny), 2 nephews, Johnny, and Anthony Carrillo; 2 nieces, Tawny Carrillo and Vanessa Carrillo Jimenez (Armando); grandniece, Cecelia Jimenez; and her mother-in-law, Victoria R. Amezola. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Bilialdo Rel and her father-in-law, Gabriel Soto.

At her request cremation has taken place and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 PM Monday, February 24, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1327 N. Miranda Street. Inurnment of cremains will follow at St. Francis Columbarium.
