DONNA LAMAR GRIMES, 68, of Las Cruces, gained angel wings on Thursday, July 13, 2023, surrounded by her family, and loved ones. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden and unexpected death. Donna will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Donna's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Donna was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a master jeweler and an amazing cook and baker. When she wasn't working, she would be spending time with her grandchildren or could be found camping at Elephant Butte Lake. Not a day went by where Donna didn't talk about how much her children, grandchildren, and family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Donna is survived by her mother, Beth Dade; siblings, Sandra (Bill) McMahan and Randy (Susan) Dade; children, Jason (Martha) Grimes and Jennifer (Tad) Emery; her grandchildren, Kayla, Harper, Jackson, Joseph, Catherine, Cole, Dale, and Holly; her great-grandchild Tanner; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Dade, brother Michael Dade, and her loving husband, Joseph Grimes.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Donna's loved ones join us in celebrating her beautiful life, at Real Life Church, 1040 El Paseo Road, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 10 AM, with reception to follow.
