It is with deep sadness that our father, DOMINGO PACHECO, passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 30, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born December 20, 1933, in a small village in Mexico called Tutuaca. Our dad came to the United States with the Bracero Program where he worked different farmlands seasonally and was frequently asked to come back by the same farmer who eventually helped him receive his legal immigrant status and was able to stay in the US. Our dad learned so much from this kind farmer he eventually planted pecan trees and had his own orchard. He met our mom, Margarita, who grew up next door to that farm, got married and had eight children. Domingo eventually received his US citizenship because he wanted to be able to vote in the elections. He was a proud but humble man who worked very hard to provide for his family and family was the most important focus of his life.

He is survived by his children, Johnny Pacheco (Bea), Christina Calderon (Manny), James Pacheco (Ruth), Laura Bone (Mike), Stela Heredia (Mike), Gracie Acosta (Frank), Ana Pacheco, Martha Rivera (Vicente), 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pacheco was preceded in death by his loving wife and our mother, Margarita; his parents Cayetano and Severa; brothers Dulces-Nombres, Jose Dolores and Ramon; and his sisters Socorro and Esperanza.

Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 10 AM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter with the Reverend Tom Smith Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where he will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Vicente Rivera Jr., Isaac Rivera, Alejandro Rivera, Anthony Pacheco, Jacob Heredia, and Ian Acosta. Honorary bearers are, Juan Castro, Matt Heredia, Julian Heredia, and Alek Acosta.
