Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many took her last breath on the evening of July 12th, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Devine, Texas on July 6th, 1946, after adoption, soon moved to Mesilla, NM where she remained a lifelong resident of Mesilla and Las Cruces. She met and fell in love with Jose Oliver Terrazas and married on March 20th, 1970. The couple built their home and family on hard work and determination. Dolores worked as a manager of Aldershot Nursery, tending all the many greenhouses until her retirement, where she then focused on her grandchildren and then becoming GG. She is survived by her daughter Gracie Lessman (Mark) and son Rogelio Terrazas, grandchildren Susana Melton (Jace), Kendra Strouse (Alex), Victoria Terrazas and great grandchildren Jayden, Madelynn, and Liam. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jose Oliver Terrazas, son Jose Richard Terrazas, and parents Agueda (Yita) and Ismael Perez.

A recitation of the rosary will be held at 11:00 A.M. with the mass to follow  on Friday August 29th, 2025, in the Basilica of San Albino, 2280 Calle Principal for those who wish to pay their respects. Cremation has taken place and inurnment of cremains will take place following the funeral liturgy at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 02:00 P.M. on Friday August 29th, 2025.

Serving as honorary casket bearers will be James Melton, Jace Melton, Willie Duran, Alex Strouse, Jayden Strouse, and Liam Melton.
