With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Demetrio "D" Lopez Jr., taken too soon from us on September 24th, 2024, at the young age of 45 at his home in Denver, Colorado.

D was a true family man and always took the time to do something for his family big or small. He always spent time off with his wife and kids, always having some sort of plan. Going to the park to help the kids with their basketball and football skills. Arranging sporting dates mainly to see the Raiders play the Broncos (and of course making sure the Raiders won) but did go to many Rockies, Nuggets, and UFC events. Any random thing the kids would throw out, he was making sure that it could be done & of course can't forget going to the kid's games- with recording all games that they

had. Most of the times watching them right when we got home!

Not only did he care about his immediate family but he cared for everyone at work- staff, patients and family members. Working as a medical assistant for the past 20 years at a few of the local hospitals in Denver, last working at UC Health, he loved all aspects of the job! Any and all that he came across he made sure to treat them like family, which was always noticed.

Not a day that went by he made everyone smile or laugh, changing your day around if you were having a rough one. He will truly be missed!

Demetrio is survived by his wife Nicole, children Michael, Jazmyn, Bryanna, Precious & Demetrio, grandchildren Rosy, Lea, & Rebel, mom Frances & step father Luis. As well as many other family members and friends!

A prayer vigil will be held on Thursday October 10, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 02:00 P.M. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 03:00 P.M. and The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 03:30 P.M. Cremation will follow, and inurnment will be at a later date.
