David Gallegos Jr., 45, of Las Cruces, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. His departure leaves a profound ache in the hearts of his family and all who knew and loved him. David will be remembered for his presence, his spirit, and the deep love he carried for those closest to him.

David is survived by his mother, Martha Avalos of Las Cruces, and his father, Lucio Avalos Jr. of Chaparral. He leaves behind his six children: Angelique Marie Aguayo, Obadiah Zephan, Yehezke'l Cincere, Jadakiss Elijah Saint, Nevaeh Angelrayne, and Lilyana Sophia Gallegos. He was also blessed with two granddaughters, Andrea and Amir, who brought him great joy.

He is further survived by his siblings: Jeniffer Marie Mijares (Saul), Lucio Gilberto Avalos (Amy), and Mariah Janelle Avalos (Joshua Ampey), along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 23, 2026 at 03:00 P.M. at Mountainview Baptist Church 760 East Chestnut Avenue Las Cruces, NM 88001, Pastor Caleb Worley will be the officiant.
