DAVID "DIDO" JOSEPH SOTO, age 70, lifelong resident of Las Cruces entered enteral life on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was born November 29, 1953, to Jimmie and Emma Soto. He was employed as a land surveyor until his retirement. David was a member of the Catholic Church.

David was known for his vibrant personality and love for dancing. A proud alumnus of Mayfield High School, he carried the spirit of his youth throughout his life. David's outgoing nature will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy includes the joy and vivacity he brought into every room.

Survivors include his son, David; 2 daughters, Melissa, and Kimberly; brothers, Santiago Soto III, John Soto and Ruben Soto and wife, Leticia; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Ybarra and husband Ray, Lorraine Soto and Susan Otero and husband Tony. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Paul Soto.

At his request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street. Inurnment of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 100 N. Espina Street where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Bearers will be Santiago Soto IV, Michael Otero, Anthony Soto, Zachary Soto, Mark Chavez, and Isaac Camacho. Honorary bearers will be Santiago Soto III, John Soto, Ruben Soto, Ray Ybarra, Tony Otero, and David Peña.
