David Stuart Anderson, born November 25, 1939, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at the age of 85. A proud Army veteran and retired Harris County Sheriff, David dedicated his life to serving his country, community, and family.

David was the beloved husband of Adelina J. Anderson, with whom he shared many joyful years. He was a devoted father to Sondra Anderson (spouse Peter Trudell) and Steven Morton (spouse Mo Morton), and a loving stepfather to Stephanie Lander (spouse James Lander).

His grandchildren were his pride and joy: Brian Rose (significant other  Juniper), Erin Rose, Hunter Morton, Antonio Morton, Ethan Lander, Wyatt Lander, and Elena Lander. David also held a special place in his heart for his "crazy Canadian cousins," who brought humor and warmth to his life.

David was well-known for his wisdom and sense of humor, and he spent countless hours solving the world's problems over coffee with his friends. Those lively conversations, filled with laughter and thoughtful debate, will remain cherished memories for all who shared them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Stuart Anderson, and his sister, Ann Elizabeth Anderson.

David's life was one of honor, integrity, and connection. His dedication to his family, friends, and community will be remembered by all who knew him.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX, at a later date.
