It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel George Duhigg.  Dan passed away at home on June 21, 2025.

Dan was born in Waverly, NY to Jane Towner and Robert Duhigg.  Those left to remember him include his son Sean, sisters Julie, Barbara and Sue, stepson Gabriel, Gabriel's daughter Scarlett, nephews, nieces, cousins and many co-workers and friends.

Dan grew up in New York and Pennsylvania graduating from Carlisle High School before moving to Las Cruces, New Mexico where he spent more than 40 years living on the East Mesa below the magnificent Organ Mountains.

With a family background of many who dedicated themselves to military service, Dan proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1980 - 1984 and continued his commitment to our country for a number of years as a member of the Army Reserves. His love for military aircraft led to a lifelong career at Holloman Air Force Base, maintaining the aircraft to help our military pilots train and to keep them flying safe.

Dan loved auto mechanics, welding, singing, and catching up with family and friends.  We will all remember visiting and talking with him in his backyard workshop that he proudly designed and built.

We will celebrate Dan's life appropriately on his birthday Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with services at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Interment services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 28, 2025 at Fort Bayard National Cemetery, 200 Cam De Paz, Fort Bayard, New Mexico.  Military honors will be accorded by the United States Airforce.
