Danny Armendariz, 62, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away on August 8, 2026, just two days before his 63rd birthday.
Danny was a hardworking and talented man who could build, repair, or figure out just about anything. A skilled carpenter, handyman, and true jack of all trades, he had a gift for working with his hands and took great pride in everything he created and repaired.Danny was truly one of a kind. He had a way of making people smile and laugh wherever he went. He was quite the character, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him will remember his unforgettable personality, sense of humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed more than words can express.
Danny leaves behind Rachel Baldonado; his children, Daniel Armendariz and Katrina Armendariz; his son-in-law, TJ Pena; and his beloved granddaughters, Ariana Armendariz, Zeniah Pena, Zaylynn Pena, and Zoey Pena. He is also survived by seven sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews.Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Brijido and Ernestina Armendariz; his beloved son, Carlos Armendariz; as well as one sister and one brother.Danny's greatest legacy lives on through his family and the many people whose lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.Though his hands may now be at rest, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the things he built will remain for generations to come.
A prayer vigil will be held on September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 North Mesquite Street. A memorial mass honoring Danny's life will be held immediately following. A private interment will be held at a later date.
