It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother on March 31, 2025, at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren in her final moments.
Consuelo Franco Perez, (Chelo) was born on May 10, 1931, in Tlalpujahua, Michoacan De Ocampo. She was a mother who had immense love for her children and family. Many knew Chelo for her Burrito Lady business and her infectious smile delivering burritos to her customers at the local Post Office, Electric Company and National Guard in the early 90's. Our mother had an unwavering spirit and positive outlook on life. Generous to a fault, willing to sacrifice herself to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of all those she knew and loved.
Our Mother is survived by her loving children Joel Perez; Lupe P. Nevarez (Ernest); Carmen P. Lucero (Roberto); Summer Nunez (who she raised as her own); Grandchildren Daniel Nunez; Francisco Perez (Rebecca); Erin Perez (Erika); Jordan Harms; Steven Lucero; Eric Lucero; and one great granddaughter Yazmina Perez; surviving brother Pablo Franco, and many nieces and nephews who will continue to honor, love and remember her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco Perez, daughter Sylvia Perez Valles; her Father Joaquin Franco; Mother Guadalupe Franco Miranda; as well as two sisters Carmen and Sara; and four brothers Joaquin, Leopoldo, Eugenio, and Juan.
