CONRADO SALAZAR VASQUEZ, age 68, entered eternal life on Monday, December 23, 2024, at his home. He was born November 26, 1956, in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to Modesta Salazar and Nicholas Vasquez. Conrado was employed with Southwest Disposal as a trucker driver and was member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Survivors include his 3 sons, C.J. Vasquez (Jennifer), Armando Benavidez (Norma) and Ernesto Benavidez (Liz) all from Las Cruces; 3 daughters, Yvette Vasquez-Garcia (Frank) and Victoria Martinez (Peter) also from Las Cruces, and Jessica Abernethy (Mike) of Austin, TX; brother, Felipe Vasquez of El Paso, TX., and 3 sisters, Cristina Valdez also of El Paso, TX., Maria Wimbley (Maurice) of Mesquite and Victoria Rangel (Roland) of Las Cruces. Other survivors include 21 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Conrado was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Martha Tapia Vasquez on November 9, 2024; and 2 brothers, Johnny, and Nichols Vasquez.

At his request cremation has taken place and The Prayer Vigil will begin at 2 PM Monday, January 27, 2025, at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina Street with the Memorial Mass to be celebrated immediately thereafter. Inurnment of cremains will follow at the IHM Columbarium where he will be placed next to his wife, Martha.
